I can't believe this project is over ten years old. As an art history major I was required to take a couple of studio classes, including a sculpture class. I came darn close to losing my thumb for this project (a story I'll save for another time). Maybe that's why I was so reluctant when my dad finally announced he was throwing it away (I saved the ducks, however). I don't blame him - it's not exactly something that goes on the fridge.
The original instructions were to complete a project that had a "host" and a "virus." My host? An overturned book, representing my studies at the time. The virus? Twenty toy wind-up ducks. Meaning? The ducks have taken over. Fun rules the day (over studying).
And that's what you might say I'm doing at this moment. Procrastinating.
